U3A Transport Scheme for Disabled Members
Assistance with payment for transport to U3A classes can be arranged for those persons who are unable to use public transport or who have great difficulty due to a disability. After being accepted into the Scheme, the student makes his/her own arrangements to hire a taxi. For each taxi journey taken, a receipt must be obtained. The receipts should be sent to the office at the end of each term. The student will then be reimbursed by the U3A with 50% of the taxi costs.
Applicants wishing to join the Scheme should contact the office.
